This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles.

Individuals at this level make high level autonomous decisions and use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions in varied contexts. They have full responsibility and accountability for personal outputs and for the work or function of others.

They use cognitive and creative skills to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge, in order to generate ideas and provide solutions to complex problems. They use communication skills to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and to transfer knowledge and ideas to others.

Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of higher education qualifications in the areas of education, organisational learning and development and so on.

You can apply for the recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (Credit and/or Recognition of Prior Learning). ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The Training product requires that the entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

  • Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

or

  • Have completed a Bachelor degree in related fields of study and 2 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

or

  • Have five years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

Additionally, ANIE has some specific entry requirements for the international students that include:

  • 18 years of age or above at the time of enrolment
  • IELTS overall band score 5.5 or more, or equivalent accredited English language test
  • Participation in the Course Entry Interview and LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) test, if applicable

 

 

 

MODE OF DELIVERY

This course’s training and assessment activities are conducted in the classroom, where 20-hour attendance per week is mandatory. Students are also required to complete at least 2 hours of unsupervised study hours at home every week.

For all enrolled students, the Australian National Institute of Education is responsible under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 for the quality of the training and assessment activities and the issuance of all AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) certificates.


 

 

 

COURSE DURATION

This qualification will be delivered over 104 weeks, including 80 weeks of training and assessment spread over 8 terms of 10 weeks each. Holidays are 3 weeks per term, amounting to 24 weeks of holidays followed by the training and assessment weeks spread over 4 terms.


UNITS OF COMPETENCY

Eight (8) units must be completed for the award of the BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strateguc Leadership qualification.

The regulatory authority decides the core units. ANIE has selected the elective units according to the regulatory packaging rules. This selection is also guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements, and the complexity of skills appropriate to this qualification’s AQF level.

CAREER & FURTHER EDUCATION

Potential employment options for the graduates of this qualification are as Small Business Manager, Director, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Administrator, Senior Executive, Strategy Analyst in various types of business organisations. However, the attainment of this qualification by itself doesn’t guarantee any specific job or migration outcomes.

Students who complete this course may also choose to continue their studies in higher education.
